About the team and role
As a Software Engineering Intern, you'll be part of our talented Cyber Security engineering team, working on developing and maintaining software applications for our products and services. Our engineering team is comprised of passionate and driven individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions to our clients.
This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the field of software engineering and Cyber Security and is looking for a challenging and rewarding internship experience. You'll have the chance to work on meaningful projects that make a real impact on our client's security posture, while also developing your skills and expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems and protocols.
- Perform security testing and vulnerability assessments on systems and applications.
- Help identify and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in incident response and disaster recovery activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure security policies and procedures are followed.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations on new security technologies and best practices.
You may be a suitable candidate for this role if you
- Possess proficiency in at least one programming language, and are willing to approach and learn new programming languages.
- Experience with Version control with Git and Version control with Git is big advantage
- Experiecne with React Native for mobile development and Electron for desktop applications is big advantage
- Have an understanding of software development methodologies and practices, such as agile or Scrum.
- Have knowledge of cyber security concepts, including encryption, authentication, and intrusion detection.
- Have experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, or Visual Studio.
- Front-End, solid knowledge in:
- Vue/React and related libraries (Vuex, Redux, etc...)
- Restful API
- Back-End, it's an advantage if the candidate possesses knowledge in:
- Python, specifically Django and Django REST Framework (DRF)
- Golang
- Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), particularly MySQL
- NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB
- Caching with Redis
- Version control with Git
- API testing with Postman
